Patient benefits
More than 46 million Americans in the United States have no health insurance. When people are without insurance coverage
for even a short time, they have less access to care. But as a recent national survey suggests, programs like Pfizer Helpful
Answers® may encourage the uninsured to be more proactive about their health overall.
The impact of patient assistance
In a survey of people enrolled in a Pfizer Helpful Answers program, most said that the patient assistance program:
- Eases financial pressures
- Helps make their lives less stressful
- Makes them more optimistic about their health
- Helps them feel more in control of their lives
Those surveyed also visit their doctor more often for routine checkups and are more likely to take the medicines their doctors
prescribe.
